An ozone generator produces ozone gas by passing oxygen through an electrical discharge. The ozone molecules react with airborne contaminants, breaking down viruses, bacteria, mould spores and odours at a molecular level. This chemical process neutralises pollutants rather than filtering them, leaving the air purified without residue or by-products.

To operate the unit, place it in the centre of the space to be treated. Plug the generator into a 230 V supply and set the timer for the required disinfection cycle. The appliance draws in air, generates ozone and circulates it throughout the room. After the cycle completes, ventilate the area before re-entry to allow any remaining ozone to dissipate.

The Stalgast ozone generator is housed in a compact casing measuring 180 mm in depth, 280 mm in width and 180 mm in height. Its 0.065 kW power rating corresponds to a modest electrical load, suitable for standard kitchen or storage circuits. The 230 V requirement matches the single-phase supply found in most professional premises, allowing straightforward installation without dedicated wiring.

With an airflow of 80 to 100 cubic metres per hour, the unit circulates ozone effectively through medium-sized spaces. A single disinfection cycle can treat up to 50 cubic metres, making it practical for walk-in refrigerators, delivery vans or small storage rooms. The maximum working time of 120 minutes allows extended treatment for thorough purification.

Cleaning involves wiping the exterior casing with a damp cloth to remove dust. No internal maintenance is required, as the ozone generation process is self-contained and does not accumulate residue.

The generator is designed for ozonation of rooms and vehicles, addressing air purification needs in catering, food storage and transport environments.
