Universal electric knife-splitter with adjustable slit thickness. Suitable for carving cheese and cold snacks
A slicing machine divides food into even slices by drawing a blade across the product while it is held against a carriage. The blade runs at a constant speed, and the carriage moves the food into the path of the blade. A thickness adjustment sets how far the carriage advances after each cut, producing slices of uniform thickness without crushing or tearing. The process is continuous, allowing large quantities to be sliced quickly with minimal waste.
The operator loads the food onto the carriage, secures it with the pressure plate, and sets the thickness control between 0 and 10 mm. The machine is switched on, and the carriage moves automatically, feeding the food into the blade. The slices fall onto the collection tray or into a container placed beneath the machine. A built-in sharpener maintains the blade edge, and the non-stick coating reduces drag and prevents food from sticking to the blade or carriage.
The housing is made of anodised aluminium, which resists corrosion and is easy to clean. A removable trolley supports the carriage and blade assembly, allowing the operator to lift it clear for thorough cleaning. The knife cover and movable wall are also coated with a non-stick material, reducing the need for scraping and wiping between batches.
The thickness control sets the slice thickness from 0 to 10 mm, covering everything from thin deli slices to thicker cuts for grilling or roasting. The 230 V supply matches the standard single-phase circuit used in professional kitchens, and the 0.12 kW power rating keeps the electrical load low. The 16 kg weight allows the machine to be moved by one person, and the 520 mm length, 460 mm width and 380 mm height fit on a standard worktop or counter.
Cleaning involves removing the trolley, wiping the blade and carriage with a damp cloth, and rinsing the non-stick surfaces under a tap. The built-in sharpener is used regularly to keep the blade edge keen, and the anodised aluminium housing is wiped down after each use to prevent build-up of food residue.
The machine is supplied with a 220 mm Teflon-coated blade, and the catalogue places it in the slicing equipment section for professional catering kitchens.
