Stalgast Stainless Steel Cover – 200 mm Diameter

A stainless steel cover traps steam rising from a heated pan or pot, raising the temperature inside and shortening the time needed to cook or reheat food. The metal surface conducts heat evenly, preventing hot spots and ensuring the contents reach the same temperature throughout. Because steam cannot escape, moisture stays in the food, keeping it tender and reducing the need for added fats or liquids.

To use the cover, place it over the rim of the pan once the food is inside and the heat is on. The snug fit seals the edges, so steam builds quickly. When the cooking time is complete, lift the cover straight up to avoid dripping condensate back onto the food. The cover can also be set aside on a heat-resistant surface while the pan is stirred or ingredients are added.

The cover is made from stainless steel, which resists corrosion, staining and warping under repeated heat cycles. It is dishwasher-safe, allowing thorough cleaning without manual scrubbing.
