A table fork designed for the demands of professional catering, where cutlery must withstand repeated use and thorough cleaning without losing its finish or balance.
In commercial dining, a table fork serves as the primary utensil for lifting and holding food. Its tines are spaced to pierce and support solid items while allowing sauces and smaller pieces to remain on the plate. The length and weight of the fork are chosen to give the user control without fatigue during extended service, and the material is selected for resistance to corrosion, staining and wear from both food acids and industrial dishwashers.
The operator simply picks up the fork and uses it as needed. After each service, the fork is collected, washed and sanitised in a commercial dishwasher, then stored ready for the next use.
The fork is made from 18/0 stainless steel, a grade that contains 18% chromium and no nickel. This composition gives a bright, durable surface that resists rust and maintains a consistent appearance across a full set.
The single control on the fork is its handle, which the user grips to direct the tines.
The 197 mm length is sized for standard European table settings, fitting comfortably in the hand while reaching across a full-sized dinner plate. The absence of nickel in the alloy means the fork is less likely to trigger allergic reactions in sensitive diners.
Cleaning is limited to routine dishwashing. The 18/0 inox material does not require polishing or special treatment; it is simply washed, rinsed and dried with the rest of the service cutlery.
This fork is listed in the Stalgast catering cutlery range under table knives and forks.
