Vertical sausage filling machine 5 l, made of stainless steel
A vertical sausage filling machine pushes seasoned meat through a funnel into natural or synthetic casings, forming consistent links without air pockets. The cylinder stands upright, so gravity helps the piston descend smoothly while the operator guides the casing onto the funnel. This orientation also keeps the worktop footprint small, leaving room for other tasks in a busy kitchen.
The machine uses a two-speed transmission to separate the loading and filling phases. A quick gear raises the piston rapidly, drawing meat into the cylinder. Once the cylinder is full, the operator switches to the slow gear; the piston then presses the meat out at a controlled rate, letting the casing fill evenly without bursting. Hardened steel gears withstand the repeated stress of lifting and pressing, so the mechanism stays precise over long service.
To operate, the operator lifts the piston with the quick gear, loads up to 5 litres of meat into the cylinder, then lowers the piston to expel air. A funnel of the chosen diameter—16, 22, 32 or 38 mm—is fitted to the outlet. The slow gear is engaged, and the operator feeds the casing onto the funnel while the piston pushes the meat through. The filled casing is twisted or tied by hand to create individual sausages.
The entire unit is made of stainless steel, including the cylinder, piston, gears and housing. Parts that touch food—cylinder, piston and funnels—can be taken apart without tools for thorough cleaning. Each funnel is 180 mm long, giving enough reach to guide the casing without kinking.
The two-speed system allows the operator to match the filling speed to the casing strength and meat texture. The 5 litre volume lets a single operator fill several kilograms of sausages before reloading, reducing interruptions during a production run. The 300 × 340 mm footprint fits on most worktops, while the 690 mm height keeps the outlet at a comfortable working level.
Four stainless steel funnels are supplied, covering the common diameters for fresh sausages, frankfurters and larger cooked meats. The hardened steel transmission ensures the gears remain accurate even under daily use.
The machine is listed in the Stalgast catalogue under meat preparation equipment.
