A vertical sausage filling machine pushes seasoned meat through a funnel into casings without air pockets or uneven density. The piston moves downward inside a cylindrical hopper, forcing the mixture through the attached funnel at a controlled rate. This vertical arrangement keeps the meat under constant pressure, so the filling stays smooth and consistent from the first link to the last. The two-speed gear lets the operator raise the piston quickly for refilling, then switch to a slower speed for precise filling, reducing waste and preventing overstuffed casings.
To use the machine, the operator lifts the piston with the quick gear, loads up to 7 litres of meat into the hopper, and attaches the chosen funnel. The slow gear is engaged, and the piston descends, pushing the mixture through the funnel into the casing. The operator guides the casing by hand, twisting or tying off links as they form. Once the hopper is empty, the piston is raised again for the next batch.
The entire unit is made of stainless steel, including the hopper, piston, and frame. The four funnels supplied—16 mm, 22 mm, 32 mm, and 38 mm in diameter—are also stainless steel and 180 mm long, allowing a single machine to produce everything from thin breakfast sausages to thick chorizo links. Parts that touch food can be removed for cleaning without tools.
The two-speed transmission uses hardened steel gears to withstand the repeated stress of lifting and pressing. A 7 litre hopper holds enough mixture for several dozen standard sausages, reducing the need to stop and reload during a production run. The footprint of 300 mm by 340 mm fits on a standard worktop, while the 830 mm height keeps the hopper at a comfortable working level without stooping.
Cleaning is straightforward: the piston and funnels are detached, washed in hot water with detergent, and dried before reassembly. The hardened steel gears require no lubrication and should be wiped down with a dry cloth after each use to remove any meat residue.
The machine is supplied as a single version with the four funnels included.
