A drop-in gas stove heats by burning gas directly beneath the pan. The flame transfers energy to the base, giving immediate control over temperature and rapid response when the setting is changed. This method suits high-output cooking where the heat must be adjusted quickly, such as searing, sautéing or wok work.
The TECNOINOX DPC35G is installed flush with the worktop, creating a continuous surface that is easy to clean and leaves no gaps where debris can collect. The operator lights the burners, places the pan on the trivet, and adjusts the gas valve to the required flame size. Once cooking is finished, the valve is turned off and the pan removed.
Construction is stainless steel, chosen for resistance to corrosion and high temperatures. The unit is 350 mm deep, 600 mm wide and 10 mm high, allowing it to sit within a standard worktop cut-out. Weight ranges from 13.6 kg to 14.6 kg, depending on the exact configuration, which determines how the stove is positioned and secured.
Two burners are fitted: one rated at 6.0 kW and the other at 3.5 kW. The larger burner delivers high heat for rapid boiling or searing, while the smaller one provides gentler heat for simmering or holding. Total power is 9.5 kW, which dictates the gas supply required and the load on the kitchen's gas line.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel surface and trivets after use, and periodically removing any food debris from the burner ports to maintain an even flame. The drop-in design means there are no external sides to clean, only the top and the burners themselves.
The stove is supplied in a single version, article 133001, with the dual-burner configuration described. It is categorised as drop-in gas equipment for professional kitchens.
