Sliding doors. Temperature range +2 to +10 °C
A backbar cooler keeps bottled and canned drinks at serving temperature behind the bar counter. Instead of relying on static cold air, a fan draws warm air across an evaporator coil charged with refrigerant. The coil absorbs heat from the air, lowering its temperature before the fan circulates it evenly throughout the cabinet. This ventilated cooling cycle maintains a steady, uniform chill across every shelf, preventing warm spots that could spoil the product or slow service during peak hours.
To start the DB302S, plug the unit into a 220-240 V, 50 Hz supply. The compressor and fan activate automatically, pulling room-temperature air through the evaporator. Once the internal sensor reaches the set point between +2 °C and +10 °C, the thermostat cycles the compressor on and off to hold that range. The operator loads bottles and cans onto the six wire shelves, each sized to hold standard bar measures without crowding. LED lighting switches on when the door opens, illuminating the stock so staff can select quickly without letting cold air escape. A lock secures the door after hours, protecting inventory.
The cabinet measures 1350 mm wide, 526 mm deep and 870 mm high, fitting beneath most bar counters while leaving clearance for the hinged door to open fully. Inside, the usable space is 1265 mm wide, 418 mm deep and 720 mm high, giving a net volume of 288 litres. Six wire shelves, each 395 mm by 320 mm, organise stock in single rows so every bottle remains visible and accessible. Adjustable legs level the unit on uneven floors, and an automatic defrost cycle prevents ice build-up on the evaporator coil, reducing manual maintenance.
The 0.205 kW power rating means the cooler draws less than a quarter of a kilowatt from the circuit, allowing it to run alongside other bar equipment without overloading the supply. The temperature range of +2 °C to +10 °C suits lagers, ciders and soft drinks that require chilling but not freezing. At 88 kg, the unit is heavy enough to stay stable on the floor but light enough for two people to reposition if the bar layout changes. The refrigerant, R600a, is charged at 50 g, a quantity that complies with current regulations for commercial refrigeration.
Cleaning involves wiping the wire shelves and interior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The evaporator coil and fan should be vacuumed periodically to remove dust that could reduce cooling efficiency. Adjustable legs and a lockable door simplify daily operation, while the electronic thermostat allows precise temperature control without opening the cabinet.
