TEFCOLD EXTRA1875CD Refrigerated Display Showcase

A refrigerated display showcase keeps chilled products visible and accessible while maintaining safe holding temperatures. The unit circulates cold air behind and beneath the shelves, drawing heat away from the food and returning it through an evaporator coil. A thermostat cycles the compressor to hold the setpoint, ensuring consistent cooling without freezing. The glass front and sides allow customers to view the products without opening the cabinet, reducing temperature fluctuations and energy use.

The EXTRA1875CD is loaded from the front. Shelves are adjusted to the required height, and products are arranged directly on them. The tilting function angles the shelves forward, bringing items closer to the customer's line of sight. The vertical LED strips illuminate the interior from top to bottom, casting even light across every shelf. Once the showcase is plugged in and the temperature set between +2 °C and +6 °C, the refrigeration cycle begins automatically and maintains the range without further adjustment.

The cabinet is constructed from stainless steel and aluminium, with double-glazed glass end walls and a curved front panel. The base holds four adjustable shelves, each fitted with a strengthening bar to support heavier loads. A ticket strip and acrylic front riser are mounted on the front edge of each shelf for pricing and product information. The internal volume of 1160 litres allows large quantities of chilled goods to be displayed at once.

Controls consist of a thermostat that sets the holding temperature within the +2 °C to +6 °C range. The 1.3 kW power rating indicates the load the unit places on the electrical supply, requiring a dedicated 220-240 V circuit. The 425 kg weight means the showcase is moved on a pallet truck or trolley and positioned before stocking. The footprint of 1975 mm long by 920 mm deep fits along a shop wall or island display, while the 2035 mm height ensures visibility from a distance.

Cleaning involves wiping the glass panels and stainless-steel surfaces with a mild detergent solution, and removing shelves to wash them separately. The LED lighting does not require replacement for extended periods, and the R290 refrigerant is sealed within the system, needing no routine servicing.

The EXTRA1875CD can be multiplexed with identical units to create a continuous display line, using an optional kit to link the refrigeration circuits. Glass end walls are standard, allowing seamless visual flow between showcases. The unit is classified as Temperature Class 3M1, suitable for holding chilled products above freezing.
