The unit circulates cold air through a ventilated system, drawing heat away from the interior and expelling it at the rear. This steady airflow prevents warm spots and ensures even cooling across every shelf, preserving food safety and presentation without freezing items that should stay above zero. The refrigerant absorbs heat as it evaporates inside the coils, then releases it outside the cabinet when compressed, repeating the cycle to hold the desired climate continuously.

The Galaxy+ GPL10FGD Black is loaded from the front. The operator slides the frameless glass doors open, positions goods on the adjustable shelves, and sets the temperature between -1 °C and +5 °C using the digital control panel. Once the doors are closed, the ventilated cooling system starts automatically, circulating air to maintain the chosen temperature. LED interior lighting illuminates the contents, and the mirrored back wall reflects light for better visibility. An acrylic front riser and ticket strip allow labels to be placed without obstructing the view of the products.

The cabinet is built with solid 40 mm end walls in black finish, providing insulation and structural support. The interior is mirrored to enhance brightness and create an impression of greater depth. Shelves are adjustable and can be tilted to improve product presentation or facilitate cleaning. The doors are frameless glass, offering unobstructed visibility of the contents.

Controls include a digital thermostat to set and monitor the temperature. The voltage requirement of 220-240 V at 50 Hz matches standard UK commercial circuits, allowing the unit to be connected without additional transformers. The 0.58 kW power rating indicates the electrical load the showcase places on the supply, which is typical for a unit of this size and cooling capacity.

The 183 kg weight means the showcase is moved with a pallet truck or trolley, and once in place, it occupies a footprint of 1060 mm by 740 mm. The Galaxy+ GPL10FGD Black is a standalone unit. An optional multiplexing kit allows multiple showcases to be connected to a single refrigeration system, reducing energy use and equipment footprint in larger setups.
