TEFCOLD IDA200 Ice Cream Freezer with LED Lighting

An ice cream freezer keeps product at deep-freeze temperatures while presenting it through a glass front. The static-cooling system circulates cold air naturally, without a fan, so the cabinet stays quiet and the air does not dry the surface of the ice cream. A layer of insulation around the inner liner traps the cold, and the refrigerant—R290 in this model—absorbs heat from the food and carries it to the condenser coils at the back or underneath. The result is a steady, even temperature across every shelf, essential for texture and shelf life in frozen desserts.

The operator loads the freezer by sliding the wire baskets in through the sliding glass doors. Each basket sits on runners inside the cabinet, so the contents can be organised without lifting. LED lighting inside the top of the unit illuminates the product from above, making colours and branding stand out. The temperature is set once, between -23 °C and -16 °C, and the static system maintains it without further adjustment. The doors seal when closed, and the cold air stays inside until the next time the cabinet is opened.

The IDA200 is built with a white exterior and a glass front. The doors are double-glazed and slide on tracks, reducing the space needed to open them. Inside, the liner is aluminium, chosen for its ability to conduct cold evenly. Four castors underneath allow the unit to be moved for cleaning or repositioning, and the front two lock to keep it in place during service.

The single-phase 230 V connection matches the standard supply in professional kitchens, so no special circuit is required. The 0.087 kW power rating reflects the steady load of maintaining deep-freeze temperatures, not the initial pull-down. The 205 L gross volume provides space for bulk storage, while the 163 L net volume indicates the usable capacity once the baskets and insulation are accounted for. At 66 kg, the freezer can be handled by two people, and the 764 mm width fits through standard doorways.

Cleaning involves wiping the glass doors and the interior liner with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The wire baskets lift out for separate washing. The castors should be checked periodically for debris that could interfere with movement, and the door seals inspected for wear that might let warm air in. The refrigerant charge is factory-sealed and does not require routine maintenance.
