TEFCOLD IDA400-W1 345 L Ice Cream Freezer

An ice cream freezer keeps frozen desserts at serving hardness by holding the cabinet below the temperature at which ice crystals grow. Static cooling circulates cold air without a fan, so the air moves only by convection. This method avoids drying the surface of exposed products and reduces the risk of freezer burn during long storage. The still air also means quieter operation, which matters in open-front display areas where customers browse the selection.

The operator loads the freezer by sliding trays of ice cream into the internal racks. Glass lids cover the top, letting customers see the flavours without opening the cabinet. LED lighting inside illuminates the contents evenly, so each tray is visible from the front. The temperature is set once, between -23 and -16 °C, and the static cooling system maintains it without further adjustment. When a customer makes a selection, the operator lifts the glass lid, removes the tray, and scoops the portion.

The cabinet is built with a white exterior and an interior sized 1186 mm deep, 536 mm wide and 688 mm high. The overall dimensions are 1344 mm long, 694 mm wide and 867 mm high, so the unit fits through standard kitchen doorways. Four castors allow the freezer to be moved for cleaning or reorganisation without lifting. The refrigerant is R290, a hydrocarbon that has low environmental impact.

The single control sets the temperature within the stated range. The power requirement is 0.112 kW, which draws a modest load on a 230 V, 50 Hz circuit. The net volume of 345 litres provides space for bulk storage of tubs and trays, while the gross volume of 426 litres includes the insulation and machinery. The weight of 61 kg allows two people to reposition the unit when needed.

Cleaning involves wiping the interior surfaces and glass lids with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The castors should be checked periodically to ensure they roll freely. Optional baskets can be added beneath the trays for additional storage, though they are not included with the freezer.
