Monoblock cooling unit with an operating temperature range from -5°C to +15°C. The WRA monoblock cooling unit provides efficient and reliable refrigeration for cold rooms.
A monoblock cooler unit draws heat from a cold room and expels it outside through a single, self-contained refrigerant circuit. The compressor pressurises the refrigerant, which then condenses in the outdoor coil, releasing the absorbed heat. A fan forces air across the coil to speed the process. Inside the cold room, the refrigerant evaporates at low pressure, pulling heat from the air and lowering the temperature. The indoor fan circulates the chilled air evenly, preventing hot spots and maintaining a stable climate for stored food or ingredients. The WRA-M5-1 is mounted on the outside wall of the cold room. An opening is cut in the panel to connect the indoor and outdoor sections. The unit fits panels up to 200 mm thick. Once installed, the operator sets the desired temperature on the digital controller. The display shows the current room temperature and the target value. The controller starts the compressor and fans, and the unit runs until the set temperature is reached. It then cycles on and off to maintain the climate without manual intervention. The casing is finished in white RAL9003. The R290 refrigerant circulates through the evaporator coils inside the cold room, absorbing heat from stored produce without leaving residue or altering food flavors. The unit weighs 42 kg, which determines the fixing method and the number of staff needed for installation. Its footprint of 421 mm by 876 mm by 890 mm must be clear of obstructions on the wall and the floor below. A power rating of 0.36 kW indicates the load on the electrical circuit. The unit runs on a 220-240 V supply, the standard single-phase voltage in British commercial kitchens. The temperature range of -5 °C to +15 °C covers chilled storage and short-term freezing, but not deep freezing or blast chilling. The ventilated cooling system uses a fan to distribute cold air evenly across the cold room. The digital controller allows precise temperature setting and monitoring. For larger cold rooms, multiple WRA-M5-1 units can be linked, with one unit acting as the master to synchronise the temperature across all connected units. Cleaning involves wiping the casing with a damp cloth and checking that the fans and coils are free of dust. The refrigerant charge is sealed and does not require routine maintenance. The WRA-M5-1 is designed for indoor use only and is part of the TEFCOLD range of cold-room equipment.
