TEFCOLD SE230 L Laboratory Freezer for Controlled Storage

A laboratory freezer maintains samples and reagents at sub-zero temperatures by circulating refrigerated air through an insulated cabinet. The compressor draws heat from the interior and expels it at the rear, creating a stable cold zone that protects biological materials from degradation. Unlike a domestic freezer, the unit is designed for frequent door openings and precise temperature control, ensuring consistent conditions for research and clinical use.

The operator loads samples into the basket, closes the door and sets the electronic thermostat to the required temperature between -45 °C and -5 °C. An audible alarm sounds if the temperature deviates from the set point. The freezer runs continuously, monitored by the internal sensor and displayed on the control panel. When samples are needed, the door is opened briefly to remove the basket without disturbing the stored items.

The cabinet is finished in white and constructed with an insulated inner liner. Four castors allow the unit to be moved across the laboratory floor; two of the castors are fitted with brakes to secure the freezer in position.
