This stylish counter has an effective ventilated cooling system, which circulates cool air evenly throughout the cabinet.
A refrigerated showcase keeps chilled food visible while maintaining safe temperatures. A compressor circulates refrigerant through an evaporator coil inside the cabinet. The coil absorbs heat from the air, lowering its temperature. A fan then distributes this cooled air evenly across the shelves, ensuring every item stays within the set range. This ventilated cooling method prevents warm spots and keeps food fresh without drying it out, which is essential for items like sandwiches, salads and deli meats that need both display and protection.
The SPID100 is loaded from the front. The operator opens the hinged glass door, places food on the shelves or in gastronorm pans, then closes the door. The automatic defrost cycle runs without intervention, melting any ice that forms on the coil and draining the water away. An LED light inside illuminates the contents, making colours and textures stand out for customers. The black exterior provides a neutral background that highlights the food.
The cabinet is built with a flat glass front and sides for hygiene and visibility. The glass hinges forward for cleaning, allowing access to the interior and the evaporator coil behind it. The exterior is finished in black, while the interior surfaces are designed to be wiped down easily. The unit accepts GN1/1 pans, which slot into runners inside the cabinet, keeping food organised and accessible.
The temperature range of -1 to +5 °C covers the safe storage of chilled ready-to-eat foods, dairy and prepared salads. The 0.565 kW power rating indicates the load on the electrical circuit, which requires a dedicated 230 V single-phase supply. The gross weight of 180 kg means the unit is moved on a trolley or pallet jack, not lifted by hand. The footprint of 1025 by 960 mm fits into a standard worktop run or island display, while the 1235 mm height allows customers to view items without bending.
Cleaning involves wiping the glass and interior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The hinged front glass simplifies access to the evaporator coil, which should be brushed or vacuumed periodically to remove dust. The automatic defrost system eliminates manual defrosting, but the drain line should be checked for blockages during routine maintenance. The LED light does not generate heat, so it does not affect the cooling performance or require frequent replacement.
The SPID100 is a single model with no variants. It is designed for food display in professional kitchens, sandwich shops, delis and supermarkets.
