Temperature mode +4/+8 SERVE OVER
A ventilated salad display showcase keeps prepared salads at serving temperature while presenting them to customers from the seller's side. Cool air is drawn from the base, chilled by an internal refrigeration unit, then circulated through the chamber by a fan. This forced-air cooling maintains an even temperature across every shelf, preventing warm spots that could spoil mayonnaise-based or fresh-cut salads. The air curtain formed by the circulation also reduces condensation on the glass, keeping the display clear and the salad visible at all times.
The operator loads the showcase from the rear service side. GN containers up to 150 mm deep are slotted into the stainless-steel insulated structure; the exact size of container is chosen to fit the salad volume. Once the containers are in place, the roller blind is pulled down to close the service opening. The electronic control panel is set to the desired temperature between +4 °C and +8 °C, and the unit begins cooling automatically. A fluorescent lamp in the upper canopy illuminates the salads, drawing attention to the colours and textures. During operation, the automatic defrost programme periodically melts any ice that forms on the evaporator, ensuring the fan continues to move air without interruption.
The exterior is finished in gold-coloured panels with grey accents and inox trim. Double-tempered glass on the front and sides provides insulation while allowing customers a full view of the salads. The showcase stands on adjustable legs, so it can be levelled on uneven floors. A built-in refrigeration unit removes the need for external plant, making the unit self-contained and ready to install on a standard worktop or counter.
The 1000 mm width gives a generous display area for multiple GN containers, while the 164 kg weight indicates a sturdy construction that remains stable during service. The 230 V, 50 Hz voltage requirement matches a standard single-phase kitchen circuit, and the 0.675 kW power rating shows the load the circuit must support. The temperature range of +4 °C to +8 °C is chosen to keep salads safe for immediate sale without freezing them, but it is not intended for long-term storage or overnight holding.
Cleaning follows the parts that are present. The stainless-steel chamber and GN-container rails are wiped daily with a sanitising solution to remove salad residues. The roller blind is unclipped and washed separately. The glass panels are cleaned with a non-abrasive glass cleaner to maintain visibility. The adjustable legs are checked periodically to ensure the unit remains level and stable.
The Georgia III 1000 is supplied in gold finish as standard; grey and inox finishes are available on request. The unit is delivered without GN containers, so these must be ordered separately to match the salad volume and container depth required.
In the UNIS COOL catalogue, the Georgia III 1000 is listed under refrigerated display equipment for self-service and assisted-service counters.
