UNIS COOL Thaya Cold 600 Display Chiller for Cold Food

A chilled display case keeps prepared food at a safe, appealing temperature while letting customers see and reach the items. The Thaya Cold 600 uses a refrigeration circuit that circulates cold air across the shelves. A fan draws warm air from the cabinet, passes it over an evaporator coil chilled by refrigerant, then returns the cooled air through vents at the back and sides. This continuous flow maintains an even temperature throughout the case, preventing warm spots that could spoil food.

To load the case, the operator slides out the adjustable shelves, arranges the food, and replaces the shelves. The electronic control unit is set to the desired temperature between +2 °C and +6 °C; the display shows the current reading. Once the unit is switched on, the refrigeration cycle starts automatically. The built-in defrost programme periodically melts any ice on the evaporator, and the resulting water drains away without manual intervention. LED lighting inside the case illuminates the products, while the mirrored back door reflects the contents and creates a deeper visual effect.

The case is built from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. The exterior and interior surfaces are brushed inox, and the shelves are removable for thorough washing. A single-phase 230 V supply powers the compressor, fan and lighting; the 0.27 kW rating indicates the electrical load the circuit must support. The 70 kg weight means the unit is moved with a trolley or two people. The footprint of 718 mm wide by 600 mm deep fits on most worktops or counters, and the 587.5 mm height allows customers to see the food without stooping.

Cleaning involves wiping the interior and exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then drying to prevent water marks. The shelves are washed separately in a sink or dishwasher. The automatic defrost and evaporation system reduces the need for manual defrosting, but the drain pan should be checked periodically to ensure it is clear.
