UNIS COOL Thaya Cold GN3 Display Case for Chilled Food

A refrigerated display case keeps chilled food visible and safe by circulating cold air evenly across every shelf. A fan draws warm air from the cabinet, passes it over an evaporator coil chilled by refrigerant, and returns the cooled air through a grille at the back or base. The continuous flow maintains a steady temperature throughout the unit, preventing hot spots that could spoil food while keeping it ready for customers to see and select.

To use the Thaya Cold GN3, plug the unit into a 230 V single-phase supply and switch on. The electronic control panel lights up; set the desired temperature between +2 °C and +6 °C. Shelves slide out for loading with sandwiches, pastries or bottled drinks. Once the cabinet is filled, the automatic defrost cycle starts at intervals, melting any frost on the coil and draining the water away without manual intervention. LED strips along the top edge illuminate the contents, and the mirrored back panel reflects light to the front, making every item stand out.

The case is built from stainless steel inside and out, with a full-length glass front and a hinged glass back door. Shelves are removable for restocking or cleaning, and the entire interior can be wiped down with a damp cloth. The refrigerant used is R134a, which does not deplete the ozone layer.

A power rating of 0.67 kW indicates the load the unit places on the kitchen circuit; at 230 V this draws under 3 A, so it can share a ring with other low-power equipment. The footprint of 718 mm wide by 1076 mm deep fits a standard worktop or counter, while the 587.5 mm height allows customers to reach the top shelf without stretching. The 132 kg weight means the case must be positioned before delivery and moved only on a trolley.

Cleaning involves wiping the glass daily with a mild detergent, removing shelves weekly to wash them separately, and vacuuming the condenser coil every three months to keep air flow unobstructed. The automatic defrost system eliminates the need to manually scrape ice, but the drain tube should be checked monthly for blockages.
