VEMA FO2071 Quartz Infrared Grill Oven for Professional Kitchens

A grill oven heats food by infrared radiation rather than by hot air or direct contact with a flame. Quartz elements convert electricity into focused infrared waves that penetrate the surface of meat, fish or vegetables, sealing in juices and creating a caramelised crust without drying the interior. The method gives faster cooking than a conventional oven and more even browning than a grill pan, while keeping the food moist.

The VEMA FO2071 is built for counter-top use. The operator places the food on a wire rack inside the chamber, closes the door and selects the power level. Infrared elements above and below the rack emit waves that travel in straight lines, so the food must be turned once during cooking to ensure both sides brown evenly. A timer or visual check signals when the food is ready; the door is opened and the rack lifted out.

The unit is constructed from stainless steel, with a quartz infrared element sealed behind a tempered glass panel. The exterior measures 520 mm wide, 270 mm deep and 420 mm high, fitting on most worktops. The 230 V single-phase connection plugs into a standard 13 A socket, drawing 3 kW when running. The 13 kg weight allows one person to move the oven with care, while the compact footprint leaves space for other appliances.

Controls consist of a rotary knob that sets the power level from low to high. Higher settings shorten cooking time but require closer attention to prevent over-browning. The quartz element heats up in seconds, so pre-heating is minimal.

Cleaning is limited to the parts the entry names. The wire rack lifts out for washing in a sink or dishwasher. The tempered glass panel and stainless-steel interior can be wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each use. The exterior is cleaned the same way, avoiding abrasive pads that could scratch the finish.
