1200 mm LED Strip Light for Catering Worktops

LED strip lighting replaces fluorescent tubes and halogen spots with a continuous line of cool, even light. A flexible circuit board carries surface-mounted LEDs spaced along its length; each LED emits light when current passes through it. The strip is adhesive-backed and can be cut to fit the space, then reconnected with simple connectors. Because the LEDs run cool, the strip can be mounted directly under cupboards, shelves or extractor hoods without risk of heat damage to surfaces or food stored nearby.

The 6500K colour temperature produces a daylight-balanced light that reduces eye strain during long shifts and makes it easier to judge food colours accurately. The strip is installed by peeling the backing tape and pressing it into place on a clean, dry surface. A low-voltage power supply is connected at one end, and the strip lights immediately. No warm-up period is needed, so the worktop is illuminated as soon as the switch is turned on.

The 1200 mm length suits standard under-cupboard runs or can be joined end-to-end for longer stretches. The adhesive backing holds securely on smooth surfaces such as stainless steel, aluminium or laminated worktops. Cleaning is limited to wiping the surface with a damp cloth; solvents or abrasives should not be used, as they can damage the LED lenses or the adhesive.

This strip is a direct replacement for existing BHS LED lighting systems and is compatible with the brand's low-voltage power supplies and connectors.
