This electric hob is an excellent solution when a reliable, durable, and easy-to-clean appliance is needed for intensive daily use in restaurants, cafés, or canteens.
2 cooking zones with a diameter of 220 mm and a power of 2.6 kW.
An electric hob heats pots and pans directly through cast iron hotplates that conduct and spread heat evenly across their surface. The method avoids open flames, giving steady, controllable temperatures that respond quickly to the operator's setting. Each hotplate draws power from the supply, converting it into heat that rises into the base of the cookware, so the food cooks without hot spots or uneven patches.
To use the hob, place a pot or pan on one of the two hotplates and turn the corresponding 7-position switch to the desired heat level. The switch clicks through settings from low simmer to full boil, letting the operator match the temperature to the dish. A thermal cut-out inside each plate prevents overheating, switching the element off if it reaches an unsafe temperature. When cooking is finished, return the switch to the off position and remove the cookware; the drip tray beneath the plates catches any spills, keeping the work surface clean.
The hob is built on a frame of AISI 304 stainless steel, a material chosen for its resistance to corrosion, staining and high temperatures. The top surface is seamless, with rounded corners for easy wiping, and the drip tray slides out for emptying and cleaning. Cast iron hotplates sit flush with the top, their heavy construction holding heat and distributing it evenly. Knobs and handles are made of a heat-resistant composite that stays cool to the touch, reducing the risk of burns during long service.
A power rating of 2.6 kW per hotplate means the hob requires a dedicated 400 V 3-phase circuit, the standard supply in professional kitchens. The 400 mm depth and 700 mm width fit a standard worktop cut-out, while the 275 mm height allows clearance beneath for storage or a shelf. The unit stands on adjustable legs that level it on uneven floors and raise it above any surface moisture.
Cleaning follows from the materials: wipe the stainless steel top with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoiding abrasives that could scratch the surface. The drip tray empties and washes separately, and the cast iron plates can be scrubbed with a non-metallic pad once cooled. The 7-position switches and knobs need only a wipe with a damp cloth to remove grease or residue.
The E7/CUET2BB is a countertop hob designed for professional and semi-professional kitchens, where precise temperature control and easy maintenance are essential.
