This electric hob is an excellent solution when a reliable, durable, and easy-to-clean appliance is needed for intensive daily use in restaurants, cafés, or canteens.
4 cooking zones with a diameter of 220 mm and a power of 2.6 kW + electric oven GN 2/1
An electric hob and static oven in one unit, the CASTA EASY 700 combines four cast-iron heating zones on the worktop with a GN 2/1 oven beneath. Electric current passes through resistance elements under each zone, converting energy directly into radiant and conducted heat. The cast-iron plates retain and spread that heat evenly, so pans sit on a stable surface that responds quickly to the control knob. Below, the static oven uses shielded elements above and below the cavity; without a fan, heat rises naturally, creating a gentle gradient from top to bottom that suits slow roasting, baking and proofing.
The operator sets each hob zone with a seven-position switch, selecting a power level that matches the pan size and the cooking task. The oven has two separate thermostats—one for the top element, one for the bottom—so the user can choose between browning the top of a dish or crisping the base. Temperature is adjustable from 0 °C to 300 °C, covering everything from gentle defrosting to high-heat grilling. Once the settings are made, the oven door seals with a tight gasket, trapping heat inside and reducing energy waste.
On the worktop, liquids that spill are caught by raised anti-drip edges and channelled into a removable trough for quick wipe-down. The oven interior is lined with thick steel panels that can be lifted out for deeper cleaning, while the door has an inner steel panel that reflects heat back into the cavity. All handles and knobs are made from heat-resistant materials, staying cool enough to touch even after hours of use.
The unit measures 800 mm across, 700 mm deep and 850 mm high, fitting a standard worktop cut-out. Four adjustable stainless-steel legs allow the chef to level the appliance precisely, matching the height of adjacent counters. A 400 V three-phase supply is required, drawing up to 2.6 kW per hob zone and 5.48 kW for the oven, so the installation must include a dedicated circuit with adequate capacity.
The hob zones are cast iron with internal thermostatic safety devices; the oven is static with independent upper and lower elements. Controls consist of seven-position rotary switches for the hob and two thermostats for the oven. The entire assembly is built from stainless steel, with AISI 18/10 legs for corrosion resistance.
