This electric hob is an excellent solution when a reliable, durable, and easy-to-clean appliance is needed for intensive daily use in restaurants, cafés, or canteens.
2 cooking zones with a diameter of 220 mm and a power of 2.6 kW.
An electric hob heats pots and pans by passing current through cast iron plates that turn electrical energy into steady, radiant heat. The plates warm evenly across their surface, so the base of the pan receives the same temperature at every point, eliminating cold spots that can slow cooking or leave food unevenly done. The hob sits on the worktop and draws power from the kitchen's three-phase supply, allowing each zone to reach full temperature without overloading a single circuit.
To use the hob, place a pan on one of the two cast iron plates and turn the corresponding knob to the desired heat level. The 7-position switch gives fine control, from a gentle simmer to a rolling boil, so the same plate can handle delicate sauces or rapid frying. When the pan is removed, the plate cools gradually, and the built-in thermal protection cuts power if the temperature rises beyond safe limits. A drip tray beneath the plates catches spills and splashes, keeping the work surface clean and reducing the risk of slips or contamination.
The hob is built as a single unit with a top of AISI 304 stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion, staining and repeated cleaning. The cast iron plates are fixed directly into the top, and the control knobs are made of a heat-resistant material that stays cool to the touch even after hours of use. Four adjustable legs raise the unit to standard worktop height and provide stability on uneven floors.
Each 2.6 kW plate draws power from a 400 V three-phase supply, so the hob must be connected to a circuit that can deliver the required current without tripping. The 400 mm depth and 700 mm width fit neatly into most worktop runs, leaving space on either side for food preparation or additional appliances. The 305 mm height ensures the hob aligns with adjacent counters and sinks, maintaining a continuous work surface.
Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the stainless steel top and drip tray with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each service, and lift the tray out to empty and wash it separately. The cast iron plates should be cleaned with a non-abrasive pad once they have cooled, to remove baked-on residue without damaging the surface. The heat-resistant knobs can be wiped down with the same cloth used for the top, and the legs can be adjusted with a spanner if the floor is uneven.
The P7/CUET2BB is a countertop model designed for professional and semi-professional kitchens where space is organised around a central work area.
