A smooth electric grill surface heats a solid steel plate to cook food directly on its even, unbroken surface. The plate conducts heat uniformly across its entire area, eliminating hot spots and allowing consistent searing, grilling or frying without the need for grates or bars. This method gives precise control over cooking temperature and retains the natural juices of meats, vegetables and other ingredients while producing a uniform crust or finish.

The operator places food directly onto the preheated plate, adjusts the temperature with the switch-thermostat and monitors cooking progress. Steam and heat rise from the surface and are drawn away by the integrated flue chimney, keeping the surrounding work area clear. Any grease or fat released during cooking collects in the front drain channel and flows into the removable fat collection drawer, reducing flare-ups and simplifying cleanup.

The grill surface is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel with rounded edges, which resists corrosion and meets professional hygiene standards. The heating plate itself is 15 mm thick AISI 430 steel, chosen for its thermal conductivity and durability. Splashguards on three sides protect the surrounding worktop from splatters, while adjustable stainless steel legs provide stability and allow the unit to be levelled on uneven floors.

A switch-thermostat controls the heating element, offering precise temperature settings between 100 °C and 270 °C. A separate safety thermostat prevents overheating, and all handles and knobs are made from heat-resistant material for safe operation during extended use.

The 5.4 kW power rating requires a 400 V three-phase electrical supply, which is standard in professional kitchens and provides the current needed for rapid heat-up and sustained high temperatures. The 400 mm depth, 700 mm width and 275 mm height give a compact footprint that fits on most worktops while offering ample cooking space.

Cleaning involves scraping the smooth plate after use, emptying and washing the fat collection drawer, and wiping down the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth. The grease drain channel and removable drawer eliminate the need for manual scraping of fat from the work area, reducing labour and maintaining hygiene.
