A gas yakitori grill cooks skewered meats, fish and vegetables over an open flame, concentrating heat on the food while allowing fat and juices to drain away. The burner sits beneath a stainless steel grid shaped to guide drippings into a collection tray, preventing flare-ups and keeping the cooking surface clean. Heat rises directly to the food, searing the outside quickly while the inside stays moist. The operator adjusts the flame to control the intensity, moving skewers closer or further from the heat as needed.
The CASTA YAK1 is built as a bench model with four legs, ready to place on a worktop or counter. The operator lights the burner with a piezoelectric ignition, then sets the temperature between minimum and maximum using the gas safety tap. A thermocouple shuts off the gas if the flame goes out, preventing leaks. Skewers rest on a V-shaped grid that channels fat into a removable drip-pan under the burner, while a separate round grid is available for fish. A cool-grip handle and knob stay safe to touch during service.
The grill is entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel finished in scotch brite, resisting corrosion and staining from heat and moisture. The cooking grids, fat collection runner and drip-pan all lift out for cleaning. Front access to the drip-pan allows the operator to empty it without moving the grill or reaching over hot surfaces.
A 6.0 kW gas burner draws a steady supply suitable for a commercial kitchen circuit, providing enough heat to keep multiple skewers cooking at once. The footprint of 740 mm by 320 mm fits on most worktops, while the 270 mm height allows the operator to work without bending. The cooking grid spans 600 mm by 270 mm, giving enough space to arrange skewers in rows without crowding.
Cleaning follows from the removable parts: grids, drip-pan and fat runner lift out and wash in a sink or dishwasher. The stainless steel surfaces wipe down with a cloth, while the burner and gas tap stay in place and are cleaned in situ with a brush. The cool-grip handle and knob need no special care beyond wiping with a damp cloth.
The YAK1 is supplied as a bench model with legs. A round cooking grid for fish is available on request.
