This electric hob is an excellent solution when a reliable, durable, and easy-to-clean appliance is needed for intensive daily use in restaurants, cafés, or canteens.
2 cooking zones with a diameter of 300 mm and a power of 4,0 kW.
An electric hob heats food by passing current through cast iron plates. The iron holds and spreads the heat evenly across its surface, so pots and pans sit on a stable, level source of warmth. Because the heat comes from below and rises through the cookware, the method suits everything from gentle simmering to rapid boiling. The hob does not rely on flames or gases, so it can be installed anywhere a suitable electrical supply is available, and it produces no combustion by-products in the kitchen air.
The operator places cookware on one or both of the 300 mm square cast iron plates. Each plate is controlled by its own 7-position switch, which sets the heating power from low to high. A warning light beside each switch glows when the plate is active, showing which zones are in use. The internal safety thermostat on each plate cuts the current if the temperature rises beyond a safe limit, preventing damage to the hob and the surrounding worktop.
The hob is built as a single unit of AISI 304 stainless steel, 2.0 mm thick. The worktop has a recessed channel along the rear edge that catches spills and juices, keeping them away from the cooking surface and making them easier to wipe up. Handles and control knobs are made of a heat-resistant material that stays cool to the touch, so they can be gripped safely even when the plates are hot.
The 400 V 3-phase supply means the hob connects to a dedicated commercial circuit, which is standard in professional kitchens. The 900 mm width allows two large pots to be used side by side, while the 400 mm depth leaves room for a worktop or shelf behind the unit. The 275 mm height matches standard counter heights, so the hob integrates with existing work surfaces without adjustment.
Cleaning is limited to the parts the entry names. The stainless steel worktop and recess can be wiped with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. The cast iron plates should be cleaned while still warm but switched off, using a scraper or a non-abrasive pad to remove food residue. The control panel and switches should be kept dry to prevent moisture from entering the electrical components.
The catalogue places the LADYQ 900 in the electric hobs section, under the CASTA brand.
