This yakitori grill prepares skewered meats, vegetables and seafood using direct radiant heat from electric resistors inside a metal grid. The grid is positioned above a removable tray that collects fat and juices, maintaining a clean cooking surface and minimising flare-ups. Heat is evenly distributed across the grid, ensuring consistent cooking without constant skewer adjustment or repositioning.
Position the YAKI1E on a stable work surface and connect it to a 230 V single-phase circuit. Insert the removable tray beneath the grid. Adjust the thermostat knob to the required temperature between 55 °C and 320 °C; one lamp indicates power, whilst another shows the heating elements are active. Once the grid reaches the set temperature, place skewers onto the squared grid bars. The grid can be flipped to use both sides, promoting even wear and allowing distance adjustment from the heat source. A cool-grip knob enables safe handling during operation. After cooking, remove skewers, switch off the grill and allow it to cool before cleaning.
The unit is constructed entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel with a scotch-brite satin finish, which resists fingerprints and scratches. Five 0.44 kW resistors are embedded within the grid, delivering a combined power of 2.2 kW. A safety thermostat automatically cuts power if the temperature exceeds 360 °C, preventing overheating. Four adjustable feet elevate the grill for ventilation and stability.
The 2.2 kW power rating reflects the electrical load. The 230 V 50/60 Hz voltage suits standard UK and European single-phase supplies. The temperature range of 55 °C to 320 °C accommodates low-temperature holding, gentle grilling and high-heat searing. The 760 mm width permits multiple skewers to cook simultaneously, whilst the 300 mm depth ensures the unit remains compact. The 270 mm height, including feet, provides clearance for the drip tray.
Cleaning involves removing the tray and washing it separately in hot soapy water or a commercial dishwasher. Wipe the grid and interior with a damp cloth or non-abrasive pad; the scotch-brite finish aids in releasing food particles. Resistors are sealed inside the grid and require no cleaning. After each use, verify that the feet are secure and the thermostat knob operates smoothly.
The YAKI1E is a bench model intended for counter-top use in restaurants, food stalls and catering environments.
