A rolling shopping basket transports bulk catering supplies from storerooms to workstations without lifting. The unit rolls on castors, letting one person move large quantities of tinned goods, dry ingredients or packaged produce in a single trip. The basket itself is an open container mounted on a frame; the operator loads it at the storeroom, wheels it to the kitchen and unloads directly onto shelves or worktops.

The basket rolls on four swivel castors, two of which lock to hold the unit in place while loading or unloading. The open top gives full access to the contents, so items can be stacked to the rim without having to reach over a lip or lid. The frame keeps the basket clear of the floor, protecting supplies from damp and making it easier to sweep underneath.

To use the basket, the operator unlocks the castors, pulls the handle to roll it to the storeroom, loads the supplies, then wheels it back to the kitchen. Once in position, the castors are locked again to prevent the basket rolling away while unloading. The process is repeated as needed throughout the day, reducing the number of trips and the strain on staff.

The GLHOE 6016 is constructed from tubular steel for the frame and a wire-mesh basket. The mesh allows air to circulate around the supplies, helping to keep dry goods at a stable temperature and humidity. The steel frame provides strength without adding unnecessary weight, making the basket easier to manoeuvre in tight spaces.

The basket measures 390 mm deep, 400 mm wide and 680 mm high, giving it a 60-litre capacity. This footprint fits through standard kitchen doorways and alongside workstations, while the height allows stacking of most catering packs without exceeding the rim. The 60-litre volume lets a single operator move a full load of supplies in one trip, cutting the time spent on restocking.

Cleaning is straightforward: the wire mesh and steel frame can be wiped down with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. The castors should be checked regularly for debris that could impede movement, and the locking mechanism tested to ensure it holds securely when engaged.
