Tongues made of stainless steel and black PVC handles.
Tongues transfer hot or delicate food without piercing or crushing it. The long arms act as levers, letting the operator lift items from a distance while the spring-loaded hinge keeps the grip light and controlled. Stainless steel conducts heat away from the food, reducing the risk of overcooking or burning the operator's hands, while the black PVC handles insulate against the remaining warmth and give a secure, non-slip hold even when wet or greasy.
To use, the operator squeezes the handles together, opening the jaws. The item is placed between the jaws, the handles are released, and the spring closes the jaws with even pressure. The food is lifted, turned or served, then the handles are squeezed again to release it. The 300 mm length keeps the operator's hands clear of hot surfaces, steam or splashing oil.
The tongues are made of stainless steel for the arms and jaws, and black PVC for the handles. Both materials resist corrosion, staining and odour absorption, and the unit can be washed in a commercial dishwasher after each service.
The 300 mm length allows the tongues to reach into deep containers, across wide grills or between closely spaced items on a buffet without the operator needing to lean over hot equipment. The size also determines the leverage: longer arms require less hand force to open and close, reducing operator fatigue during extended use.
Cleaning is limited to the parts named: the stainless steel arms and jaws are wiped or scrubbed to remove food residue, while the PVC handles are cleaned to prevent grease build-up. Both parts are dishwasher-safe, allowing full sanitisation in a commercial machine.
