Fireproof coating
A BBQ apron creates a protective barrier between the operator and hot surfaces, spitting fat or flying embers. The fabric blocks radiant heat and absorbs splashes before they reach clothing underneath, reducing the risk of burns or stains during grilling, searing or open-flame cooking.
The apron is worn over the front of the body, tied at the waist and neck. Its large panel drapes from chest to knees, shielding the torso and upper legs. The operator can move freely, bend or reach across a grill without exposing skin or fabric to direct heat. When the session ends, the apron is untied and removed.
Made of 280 g/m² canvas with a fire-retardant coating, the material resists ignition and slows the spread of flames. The dense weave also withstands repeated contact with hot utensils, grease and cleaning agents. Stitching is reinforced to prevent tearing at stress points.
The apron measures 810 mm tall by 660 mm wide, covering a broad area of the body. At 220 g, it remains light enough for all-day wear without causing fatigue. The black colour conceals stains and grease marks, helping the apron look presentable through extended use.
Cleaning is straightforward: wipe off fresh spills with a damp cloth, or machine wash the apron when heavier soiling occurs. The fire-retardant coating is designed to endure repeated laundering without losing effectiveness.
The apron is listed in the HENDI catalogue under protective clothing for professional catering and outdoor cooking.
