HENDI Black Desk Cover for Catering Workstations

A desk cover creates a smooth, wipe-clean surface over a catering workstation, shielding the underlying counter from oil, water and scratches while providing a hygienic worktop for food preparation.

The cover is a flat panel that lies directly on the existing work surface. Its edges are finished so they do not snag cloths or utensils, and the material is chosen to resist staining and heat from hot pans or serving dishes. Because the cover is not permanently fixed, it can be lifted for cleaning underneath or replaced when worn.

To use, the operator measures the workstation width and selects the closest setting within the 800–850 mm range. The cover is then laid flat, ensuring it overhangs evenly on both sides. No tools or fasteners are required; the weight of the cover keeps it in place during normal kitchen tasks.

Construction is a single sheet of black material, dimensionally stable and non-porous. The adjustable width is achieved by a telescopic or sliding mechanism built into the cover itself, allowing it to fit a variety of standard catering worktops without cutting or modification.

The only control is the width adjustment, which is set once when the cover is first positioned and then left unchanged.

A width range of 800–850 mm means the cover can span most single-bay workstations found in professional kitchens, from small prep areas to larger counters used for plating. The height of 1050–1150 mm indicates the cover is designed to hang down the front of the workstation, protecting the front edge and apron from spills and knocks.

Cleaning is straightforward: the cover is wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each service. Because it is non-porous, it does not absorb liquids or odours, and there are no seams or joints where dirt can accumulate. When the cover is lifted, the underlying worktop can also be cleaned without moving heavy equipment.
