A chilled display for buffet counters keeps prepared food at a safe, reduced temperature while guests serve themselves. The unit relies on gel-filled cooling elements that absorb heat from the tray and transfer it to the surrounding air. Because the cooling elements are not mechanical, the unit remains silent and needs no power supply, making it suitable for locations where electricity is limited or where quiet operation is preferred. The transparent roll-top lid traps the cooled air over the food, slowing the rise in temperature when the lid is closed.

To use the unit, the operator slides the stainless steel tray into the housing, places the gel-filled cooling elements around the tray, and arranges the food. The roll-top lid opens to a 90-degree angle, allowing full access to the tray without removing the lid. A convenient handle on the lid and a cut-out in the housing provide comfortable grips for opening the lid and removing the tray. Guests can view and select food through the transparent PET lid without lifting it, reducing heat loss and maintaining the chilled environment.

The housing is constructed from ABS, a durable plastic that resists impacts and is easy to clean. The roll-top lid is made of transparent PET, which allows clear visibility of the food while protecting it from contamination. The unit includes a GN 1/1 stainless steel tray measuring 400×300 mm, compatible with standard gastronorm containers.

Controls are minimal, as the unit operates without electricity. The roll-top lid is the primary control, allowing the operator to open and close the unit as needed to maintain the chilled environment.

The dimensions of 460×355×220 mm create a compact footprint suitable for buffet counters, worktops, or serving stations. The weight of 2.857 kg makes the unit easy to move and position without requiring heavy lifting equipment. The black colour provides a modern, professional appearance that blends with most kitchen and buffet designs.

Cleaning involves wiping the ABS housing and PET lid with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The stainless steel tray and cooling elements can be removed and washed separately. The roll-top lid's smooth surface and the absence of mechanical parts simplify maintenance.
