A grill cleaning brush is included.
A contact grill presses food between two heated plates, sealing in juices and cooking both sides at once. The double plates transfer heat directly into the food, cutting cooking time and giving even browning without turning. This method keeps meat tender, vegetables crisp and bread toasted without drying it out. The weight of the upper plate presses the food flat, so every piece cooks at the same rate and comes out with uniform grill marks or a smooth finish, depending on the plate surface.
Place the food on the lower plate, close the upper plate and lock it with the spring mechanism. The heat-resistant handle lets the operator lift and hold the plate at any angle while loading or checking. Two independent thermostats control the temperature of each plate from 50 °C to 300 °C, so one side can sear steaks while the other gently toasts buns. The preheat light shows when the plates have reached the set temperature, and the power switch with integrated indicator confirms the unit is on. Rubber feet keep the grill steady on the worktop during use.
The body is stainless steel 18/0, chosen for resistance to corrosion and daily wear. The cooking plates are enamelled cast iron, which holds heat evenly and releases food cleanly. The lower plate has raised edges and a removable drain tray that collects fat and juices, keeping the work surface clean. A grill cleaning brush is supplied for daily upkeep of the plates.
Each plate measures 475 mm by 230 mm. The right plate is smooth; the left plate is half grooved and half smooth, giving the operator two finishes in one unit. The overall footprint is 570 mm long, 395 mm wide and 510 mm high, fitting on most worktops or trolleys. The 3.6 kW power rating means the grill draws a steady load on a 230 V circuit, typical of professional kitchen supplies. The 23.56 kg weight allows two people to move the unit safely, and the 1.7 m power cable with earthed plug reaches standard sockets without an extension.
Cleaning follows from the construction: lift the upper plate, remove the drain tray, wipe the enamelled plates with the brush and hot water, and dry the stainless steel body. The vents prevent overheating, so no additional cooling steps are needed between batches.
The HENDI 263907 is a double contact grill with two independently controlled plates, one smooth and one half grooved, in a stainless steel body.
