Designed for portable gas stoves and creme brulee burners only.
Portable gas burners and crème brûlée torches run on sealed, single-use cartridges that thread directly into the appliance. The cartridge contains pressurised butane or a butane-propane blend, which vaporises as it leaves the valve. When the burner's control knob is opened, the gas flows through the appliance's regulator and mixes with air before reaching the burner head, where it ignites to produce a steady, adjustable flame. This method gives instant heat without electrical supply, making it practical for tableside finishing, outdoor service or mobile catering units.
To use, screw the cartridge clockwise into the burner's gas inlet until it seats firmly. Open the burner's control valve and ignite the gas with the built-in spark or a separate lighter. Adjust the flame with the same control knob, watching the colour and shape to judge heat output. When the cartridge is empty, close the valve, allow the appliance to cool, then unscrew the cartridge anticlockwise and dispose of it.
The cartridges are constructed from tin-plated steel, sealed at the factory to prevent leakage. A threaded brass valve at the top mates with the burner's inlet, ensuring a gas-tight connection. The design is standardised across HENDI portable gas appliances, so each cartridge fits any HENDI burner that accepts this type.
These cartridges are intended solely for portable gas stoves and crème brûlée burners. They must not be used to refill gas lighters or any other device.
The product is listed in the catalogue under Fuel & Consumables, Gas Accessories.
