| NOTES | GN 2/3 , suitable for washing in dishwashers and suitable for use with foods |
A gastronorm container built to the GN 2/3 standard holds prepared ingredients, cooked dishes or chilled stocks in a professional kitchen. The container slides into refrigerated counters, bain-maries, combi-steamers and blast chillers without adapters, so food moves directly from storage to cooking to service without repacking. Polypropylene resists thermal shock and does not absorb flavours, making it suitable for both hot and cold applications.
The container is used by filling it with food, placing the lid on top and securing it with the integrated clips. Four colour-coded HACCP clips (green, yellow, blue and red) snap onto the rim to mark the contents, the date or the stage of production. Blank HACCP labels are moulded into the side walls; these can be written on with a wipeable marker to record the time, temperature or batch. The lid creates a hermetic seal that prevents spills and reduces evaporation during storage or transport.
Construction is a single piece of polypropylene with reinforced corners and a flat base. The lid is the same material and locks into place with a positive catch. Both container and lid are dishwasher-safe and can be stacked when empty to save space in cupboards or on worktops.
The temperature range of -40 °C to +100 °C allows the container to be used in freezers, refrigerators, hot cupboards and bain-maries. The 19 litre volume holds enough for a full service without being too heavy to lift when full. The footprint of 354 mm by 325 mm matches the GN 2/3 standard, so it fits standardised racks and trolleys without overhang.
Cleaning involves removing the lid, rinsing the container and lid under a tap or placing them in a dishwasher. The polypropylene surface does not stain and dries quickly. HACCP labels can be wiped clean with a damp cloth or sanitiser, ready for the next use.
The container is supplied with four HACCP colour clips; wipeable markers for the labels are not included.
