HENDI GN1/9-100 mm Polypropylene Food Storage Container

A gastronorm-compatible food storage container holds ingredients and prepared dishes in a standardised format that fits refrigerators, bain-maries and transport trolleys. The polypropylene construction does not absorb odours, so flavours stay distinct between batches and storage cycles. An embedded label area lets kitchen staff track contents and rotation without adhesive tags or external markers.

The container is sealed with a separate lid and colour-coded clips that follow HACCP guidelines, allowing quick visual checks on storage zones and allergen separation. The material withstands repeated thermal shocks from freezing to hot-holding, so the same unit can move from blast chiller to hot cupboard without cracking or warping.

To use, fill the container to the marked volume, snap the lid in place and secure with the appropriate clip. Stack the containers on gastronorm shelves or in refrigerated cabinets; the footprint matches GN1/9 racks. When empty, place the container in a commercial dishwasher; the polypropylene resists high-temperature wash cycles and chemical sanitisers.

The walls and base are made of transparent polypropylene, allowing contents to be identified without opening. An embedded label panel on the side accepts dry-wipe or permanent markers for date coding and product identification.

The 0.9 litre capacity suits small-batch ingredients, sauces or portioned components. The 176 × 108 × 100 mm dimensions fit standard GN1/9 racks and under-counter refrigeration units. The temperature range of -40 to +80 °C covers freezing, refrigeration, ambient storage and hot-holding up to pasteurisation temperatures.

Cleaning involves removing the lid and clips, then placing the container in a commercial dishwasher. The polypropylene surface resists staining and odour retention, so repeated washing does not degrade the material.

Lids and colour-coded clips are sold separately, allowing replacement or expansion of the colour system as kitchen workflows evolve.
