An induction surface heats pots and pans directly through a magnetic field generated beneath a ceramic glass top. Instead of warming the surface first, the coil beneath creates an alternating current that induces heat only in the base of ferromagnetic cookware. This method keeps the surrounding area cool, reduces energy loss, and allows precise control over the temperature of each pot placed on the surface.

The HENDI induction surface is designed to hold several pots at once, using a rectangular induction coil that distributes the magnetic field across a wider area. The operator places pots on the ceramic glass, selects one of 11 power levels with the rotating handle, and sets the temperature between 40 and 100 °C. The built-in digital display shows the current setting, while electronic protection prevents overheating by cutting power if the surface exceeds safe limits. Once set, the surface maintains the chosen temperature without further adjustment, keeping food warm until service.

The unit measures 460 mm wide, 315 mm deep, and 61 mm high, fitting onto a worktop or counter. Its 4.69 kg weight allows it to be moved easily between stations. The ceramic glass surface is smooth and seamless, with no open flames or exposed elements, making it safer for busy kitchens. The 0.8 kW power rating means it draws a modest load from a standard 230 V circuit, suitable for most commercial electrical supplies.

The 11 power levels let the operator match the output to the size and material of each pot, while the 40-100 °C range covers gentle warming, simmering, and holding temperatures. The 15 kg maximum load capacity allows the surface to support multiple heavy pots without strain, though the weight must be distributed evenly across the coil area.

Cleaning involves wiping the ceramic glass with a damp cloth after each use, as the surface itself does not get hot enough to burn food onto it. The digital display and controls should be kept dry, and the unit unplugged before cleaning. No additional maintenance is required beyond checking the power cable for damage and ensuring the ventilation slots remain unblocked.

This induction surface is categorised under professional heating equipment for holding and warming food in catering environments.
