Marker for menu board
A menu board marker writes on non-porous surfaces such as chalkboards, whiteboards and acrylic panels. The ink is formulated to resist smudging and fading under indoor lighting, so the daily specials, prices and descriptions stay sharp until they are wiped clean. The tip is firm enough to keep a consistent line without fraying, yet flexible enough to follow the curve of handwriting. White ink stands out against dark backgrounds, making it the standard choice for blackboards and coloured boards in professional kitchens, cafés and delis.
To use the marker, shake it gently with the cap on to mix the pigment, remove the cap and press the tip lightly on scrap paper until the ink flows evenly. Write or draw directly on the board, holding the marker at a slight angle for the best line control. Replace the cap immediately after use to prevent the tip from drying out. When the board is full or the menu changes, wipe the surface with a damp cloth or a suitable cleaner; the ink lifts without ghosting, leaving the board ready for the next service.
The set contains five identical markers, so a busy kitchen can keep one at the pass, one at the till, one in the prep area and two spares in the drawer. Each marker produces lines between 2 mm and 6 mm thick, allowing headings, prices and fine detail to be written with the same pen. The body is made of plastic that resists cracking if dropped, and the cap fits securely to prevent leaks during storage.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the tip on a damp cloth if it picks up dust or lint. If the tip becomes clogged, a brief rinse under cold water restores flow; never soak the marker or use solvents, as these can damage the ink reservoir. Store the markers horizontally in a cool, dry cupboard to extend their working life.
These markers are designed for use with standard menu boards and blackboards found in commercial catering environments. The catalogue places them in the front-of-house section, alongside display accessories and signage tools.
