HENDI Roll-Top Cooling Display for Professional Kitchens

A roll-top cooling display keeps prepared food chilled and visible without drying it out or exposing it to airborne contaminants. The unit relies on cooling elements that absorb heat from the interior, lowering the temperature around the food. A transparent lid traps the cool air while allowing customers or staff to see the contents, and the roll-top design opens smoothly to one side, giving quick access without lifting a hinged cover.

The operator places the food on the stainless steel tray, fills the two cooling elements with water to 90% of their capacity, and closes the roll-top lid. The lid opens to 90° on either side, so it can be positioned to suit the worktop layout. Once the elements are chilled, they maintain a low temperature around the food, slowing spoilage and keeping textures firm.

The base is moulded from dark-grey ABS for durability and easy cleaning. The roll-top lid is made of transparent SAN, a rigid plastic that resists cracking and stays clear over time. A stainless steel tray with a raised rim sits inside, measuring 395 by 285 mm, providing a hygienic surface that can be removed for washing. The lid has an integrated handle for smooth operation.

The footprint of 440 by 320 mm fits on most worktops, while the 205 mm height allows it to slide under standard overhead shelves. At 2.14 kg, the unit is light enough to move between service stations or store when not in use.

Cleaning involves removing the stainless steel tray and washing it separately. The ABS base and SAN lid can be wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The cooling elements should be emptied, dried and refilled with fresh water before each use to prevent scale build-up.
