HENDI Silicone Tamping Stand for 142 mm Portafilters

A tamping stand creates a level, stable surface so the barista can press ground coffee evenly into the portafilter basket. The stand holds the portafilter in place while the tamper is pressed down, preventing uneven extraction that would let water channel through loose or tilted grounds.

The silicone base grips the worktop and the portafilter rim, stopping the assembly from shifting under pressure. A shallow recess in the top surface guides the tamper so it meets the coffee at a consistent angle every time. The operator places the filled portafilter into the stand, positions the tamper in the recess, and presses firmly until the coffee is compacted to the desired density.

Made from silicone, the stand resists heat and coffee oils, and wipes clean with a damp cloth.
