A grill cleaning brush is included.
Grooved top and smooth bottom.
A contact grill presses food between two heated plates, transferring heat from both sides at once. The upper and lower plates close together, sealing in moisture while creating a crisp outer texture. This method cooks faster than an open grill or griddle, and the even pressure ensures consistent results across the entire surface. The plates are shaped with grooves on one half and smooth on the other, allowing both char lines and flat searing in a single batch.
To use the grill, plug it into a 230 V supply and switch it on. The preheat light glows until the plates reach the set temperature. Adjust the thermostat from 50 °C to 300 °C to suit the food: lower for delicate items like bread, higher for cuts of meat. Place the food on the lower plate, then lower the upper plate with the heat-resistant handle. The spring mechanism holds the plate in any position, so it can rest lightly on delicate items or press firmly on thicker cuts. The vents prevent overheating, while the back and side edges on the lower plate keep food and juices contained. A removable drain tray collects excess fat and liquid for easy disposal.
The 2.2 kW heating elements draw a steady load, suitable for a dedicated kitchen circuit. The 340 mm by 230 mm grilling surface provides space for multiple portions at once, with half grooved and half smooth to suit different textures. The 430 mm length, 370 mm width and 210 mm height fit on most worktops, while the 17.78 kg weight keeps the unit stable during use. Rubber feet reduce movement, and the 1.7 m power cable allows flexible placement near a suitable socket.
The enamelled cast iron plates retain and distribute heat evenly, resisting warping and corrosion. The stainless steel body protects against kitchen wear, and the 18/0 grade ensures durability without added nickel. Cleaning is straightforward: lift the upper plate, remove the drain tray, and wipe the plates with a damp cloth or the included grill brush. The enamelled surface resists sticking and is safe for metal utensils.
The grill is supplied with a power switch, indicator light, and earthed plug. It is designed for professional kitchens that need to prepare panini, grilled sandwiches, cuts of meat, sausages and vegetables quickly and consistently.
