Suitable for a 30 L container with a minimum height of 200 mm.
This sous vide circulator keeps a water bath at an exact temperature by heating and circulating the water. A pump draws water in, passes it over the heating element, and returns it to the bath. This movement removes hot and cold spots, so food cooks evenly without drying out or losing moisture.
To operate, fill a container with water to the minimum mark, attach the unit to the side, and connect it to a 230 V supply. Choose a temperature between 5 °C and 90 °C in 0.1 °C increments, then set the timer from 5 minutes to 99 hours 59 minutes in 1-minute steps. The circulator heats the water to the chosen temperature and holds it until the timer finishes. Vacuum-sealed food is placed in the bath, cooking slowly at the required temperature. Once the timer ends, the unit switches off and the food can be taken out.
The housing is made from PPO, a heat- and chemical-resistant plastic. Inside, the heating element is stainless steel, selected for its durability and corrosion resistance in water. A digital display shows the current temperature and remaining time, with two buttons for adjustments. The unit can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit for temperature readings. Overheat protection stops power if the element becomes too hot, and a low-water sensor prevents use if the water level falls below the minimum mark.
With a 1.2 kW power rating, the temperature range of 5 °C to 90 °C covers chilling, holding, pasteurising, and cooking. The compact size of 70 mm by 120 mm by 330 mm fits most standard containers, and the 0.82 kg weight allows easy movement between baths.
Cleaning involves wiping the PPO housing with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The stainless-steel heating element should be rinsed after each use to prevent scale, and the water bath should be changed regularly to avoid contamination. The low-water sensor and overheat protection need no maintenance beyond keeping the water level between the marked lines.
