HENDI Stainless Steel Colander Ø340 mm

A colander separates solids from liquids by allowing the liquid to drain through perforations while the food remains inside. The bowl-shaped body holds the contents, and the base keeps the colander stable on the worktop or in the sink. Twin handles let the operator lift and tip the colander without spilling, making it quicker to transfer drained food to pans or serving dishes.

To use, place the colander in the sink or over a bowl. Load the food into the bowl; the liquid passes through the holes and drains away. When draining is complete, lift the colander by the handles and shake gently to remove any remaining liquid. The base prevents the colander from tipping while it is set down between uses.

The colander is made of stainless steel, which resists corrosion and staining from acidic or salty foods. The 12.5 mm thickness of the material gives the bowl enough rigidity to hold several kilograms of food without flexing.
