HENDI Toaster Milan Toast for Professional Kitchens

A professional toaster designed for rapid, even browning of bread sticks and similar items, the HENDI Toaster Milan Toast uses infrared quartz heating elements to generate intense, direct heat. Unlike conventional toasters that rely on metal coils or ceramic plates, infrared quartz elements emit radiant energy that penetrates the surface of the bread, heating it from the outside in. This method achieves the required temperature within seconds, reducing waiting time and allowing continuous production during service peaks. The elements also cool almost instantly once switched off, improving safety and turnaround between batches.

To operate, the operator loads up to six bread sticks onto the two stainless steel grates, each holding three items side by side. The switch on the front panel selects between heating modes, adjusting the intensity of the infrared output to suit different bread types or desired levels of browning. A mechanical timer, calibrated up to fifteen minutes, is set by rotating the dial; when the time elapses, an audible signal sounds to alert the operator. The grates are then removed, and the toasted items transferred to a holding area or plated directly.

The construction is entirely stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion, ease of cleaning and durability under repeated thermal cycling. The infrared quartz elements are housed behind protective guards, preventing direct contact while allowing the radiant heat to pass through. The unit stands on four adjustable feet, ensuring stability on uneven worktops.

The 3 kW power rating indicates the load placed on the electrical circuit; the toaster requires a dedicated 230 V single-phase supply capable of delivering the necessary current without tripping breakers. Cleaning involves removing the grates and wiping down the interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth.
