A drop-in electric fryer designed to integrate directly into a stainless-steel worktop, freeing counter space while keeping the cooking surface flush and seamless. The DFR35E2 uses an immersed heating element to raise the temperature of the oil quickly and evenly, creating a consistent frying environment without hot spots. A thermostat maintains the set level, allowing the oil to recover heat between batches so that each portion emerges crisp and evenly cooked.
The operator lowers the basket into the heated oil, where the food is submerged and fried until the timer signals completion. Once lifted, the basket drains above the vat, returning oil to the reservoir and keeping the work area clean. The drop-in design means the fryer sits level with the surrounding worktop, making it easy to slide pots, trays or utensils across without obstruction.
Constructed from stainless steel, the unit resists corrosion and withstands the daily cleaning demanded in professional kitchens. The heating element is sealed within the vat, protecting it from splashes and extending its service life. A single control knob sets the frying temperature, while an indicator light confirms the element is active.
The 3.0 kW power rating requires a dedicated circuit capable of handling the load without tripping breakers during peak demand. The 8 litre oil capacity allows medium-sized batches of chips, fish or other fried items to be prepared without frequent refilling. Weighing 13.5 kg, the fryer can be lifted by two staff members for installation or removal, while the 350 mm by 600 mm footprint fits standard worktop cut-outs found in most commercial kitchens.
Cleaning involves draining the oil, wiping down the interior with a non-abrasive cloth, and rinsing the basket under a tap. The heating element remains fixed, so no disassembly is required beyond removing the basket and draining the vat.
Available in a single configuration for 230 V single-phase or 400 V three-phase electrical supply, ensuring compatibility with standard UK commercial power setups.
