A banquet chair is built to seat guests for hours without sagging or creaking, yet fold or stack when the room is cleared. The frame carries the load through the legs to the floor, while the seat and backrest spread the weight so no single point bears too much pressure. Steel tubing gives the frame its strength without adding bulk; the profile width and wall thickness decide how much weight it can hold before bending. A banquet chair must also move easily between events, so the design allows stacking without damaging the finish or the chairs below. Each chair in the stack supports the ones above, and the total height stays within reach so the operator can lift the stack without strain or tipping.
To set up the Alicante Modern AM660, the operator lifts each chair by the handle on the backrest and places it on the floor, checking that the protective caps on the legs touch evenly. The chairs are arranged in rows or around tables, leaving enough space for guests to move. When the event ends, the operator lifts each chair by the backrest handle, tilts it slightly to align the legs, and lowers it onto the stack. Up to eighteen chairs can be stacked in one pile, and the bumpers on the frame prevent the paint from chipping. The stack is then wheeled or carried to storage.
The frame is made of 1.2 mm steel tubing with a 20 mm profile, powder-coated in three protective layers plus an anti-scratch top coat. The legs have floor-protecting caps, and the backrest includes a handle for transport. The seat uses 9 mm plywood reinforced with a beam underneath, covered with non-deforming polyurethane foam and velvet upholstery.
The chair measures 440 mm deep, 550 mm wide and 910 mm high, and weighs 6.5 kg. The 200 kg load capacity means it can seat guests of any size without risk of collapse. The 6.5 kg weight allows one person to lift and stack the chairs without assistance. The 550 mm width gives each guest enough space to sit comfortably, while the 440 mm depth keeps the chair stable without extending too far into the aisle.
Cleaning is limited to the surfaces the entry names: the velvet upholstery can be brushed or vacuumed to remove dust and crumbs, and the powder-coated steel frame can be wiped with a damp cloth. The protective caps on the legs should be checked regularly to ensure they are not worn or missing.
The Alicante Modern AM660 is supplied in light beige. The chair is stackable up to eighteen units per stack.
