AUGUSTO 1616 Black Technorattan Chair with Cushion

A stackable outdoor chair built for repeated use in commercial settings, the AUGUSTO 1616 combines a technorattan weave with a steel frame to create seating that withstands sun, rain and frequent handling. Technorattan is a synthetic fibre extruded into fine strands and woven into a tight, flexible mesh. The material does not absorb water, resists UV fading and remains pliable across temperature swings, so it neither cracks in winter nor softens in summer. The weave is stretched over a tubular steel frame that is powder-coated to prevent corrosion, giving the chair its shape and load-bearing strength.

The chair arrives fully assembled and ready to place. The operator simply lifts it from the delivery carton, positions it on the terrace or patio, and seats guests. When service ends or weather turns, the chairs stack vertically, one on top of another, up to eight units high. The low weight of 5.64 kg allows a single person to move a stack without mechanical help, while the compact footprint of 680 mm by 610 mm keeps the stored stack narrow enough to slide into a cupboard or against a wall.

The seat cushion supplied with the chair adds comfort without complicating upkeep. The cushion can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent, and the technorattan weave requires only occasional brushing to remove dust or pollen. No oiling, sealing or seasonal storage is necessary.

Construction is a single-piece technorattan shell over a welded steel frame, finished in black. The controls are limited to the stacking lugs on the underside of the seat; these engage with the frame of the chair below to keep the stack stable.

The dimensions of 680 mm wide, 610 mm deep and 870 mm high create a chair that fits beneath standard outdoor tables and allows diners to sit comfortably without crowding. The weight of 5.64 kg means the chair can be carried by one person and moved frequently without strain. Stacking up to eight chairs high reduces the floor space needed when the chairs are not in use, making it practical to clear a terrace quickly for cleaning or to protect the chairs from overnight weather.
