The ES 121 from the Economy line is a banquet chair with a durable steel frame. In addition to banquet and conference use, this chair is also perfectly suited for weddings and hotel furnishing. The advantages of the ES 121 include the comfort provided by its 5.5 cm thick seat, as well as the chair’s stability during use. Its strong and stable construction with a powder-coated finish and elegant upholstery make this chair an excellent solution whenever elegant and long-lasting furniture is required.
Banquet chairs organise seating for conferences, weddings and large dinners where tables are set and cleared repeatedly. The chair is carried to the table, used for the meal, then removed so the floor can be cleaned or the room reconfigured. A stackable design lets staff store dozens of chairs in a small cupboard or corner, freeing the space for the next event without moving furniture to another room.
The chair stands on a steel frame that supports the sitter's weight while keeping the unit light enough to lift with one hand. The frame's 19 mm square profile gives it strength without adding bulk; an extra support beam under the seat reinforces the structure so the chair does not twist or bend when guests shift position. Plastic protectors on each leg prevent the metal from scratching wooden floors or tiles during setup and breakdown.
To use the chair, staff carry it from the stack to the table, unfold it and place it at the correct spacing. After the event, each chair is lifted by the backrest, tilted slightly forward and lowered onto the next chair in the stack. The process repeats until the stack reaches the storage height or the maximum of eighteen chairs, whichever comes first. The low weight of 5.4 kg per chair means one person can carry two chairs at once, halving the time needed to set up a room for two hundred guests.
The frame is finished with a metallic-effect powder coating that resists chips and scratches from daily handling. The seat and backrest are upholstered in grey fabric over a 5.5 cm layer of foam, providing cushioning without making the chair bulky. A fire-retardant fabric option is available for venues that require it.
The chair measures 440 mm from front to back, 540 mm across the seat and 890 mm to the top of the backrest. These dimensions fit standard banquet tables and allow guests to sit comfortably without crowding. The 5.4 kg weight makes the chair easy to move but stable enough to stay in place when guests stand or shift. The maximum load of 150 kg accommodates a wide range of users, from children to larger adults.
Cleaning involves wiping the frame with a damp cloth to remove dust and spills, and brushing the fabric to lift crumbs. The plastic leg protectors can be replaced if they wear down, and the powder coating does not require repainting under normal use.
The chair is available in the standard grey upholstery with a silver frame. A fire-retardant fabric version can be ordered for venues with specific safety requirements.
