Banquet chairs that stack eighteen high transform event seating from a storage problem into a quick, organised setup. The BHS ES 314 uses a slender 19 mm steel frame to keep each chair light enough for one person to carry, yet strong enough to support a 150 kg load. When the event ends, the chairs stack vertically, taking only the footprint of one chair while freeing up floor space for cleaning or the next function.

The principle is simple: a rigid steel frame carries the load through the legs to the floor, while the seat and backrest distribute weight evenly across the frame. The 19 mm profile is thick enough to resist bending under load, yet narrow enough to keep the chair lightweight. An additional support beam under the seat reinforces the frame, preventing sag and extending the chair's working life. Plastic leg protectors prevent the steel from scratching floors, so the chairs can be moved across polished wood, tile or vinyl without damage.

To set up, lift each chair from the stack, unfold it and place it on the floor. The lightweight construction means one person can carry several chairs at once, reducing the time needed to prepare a large hall. At the end of the event, the chairs stack again by lifting one onto the next, aligning the legs and pressing down until the stack locks. The maximum stack height of eighteen chairs keeps the centre of gravity low enough for safe handling.

The frame is made from steel with a 1 mm wall thickness, powder-coated in a metallic champagne gold that resists chipping and fading. The seat is upholstered in beige fabric over a 5.5 cm layer of foam, providing a firm but comfortable surface for guests. The fabric is available in a fire-retardant version on request, meeting safety requirements for public venues.

Controls are not applicable; the chair is a static seating unit. The 5.4 kg weight allows easy manual handling, while the 440 × 540 × 890 mm dimensions give a compact footprint that fits through standard doorways and into storage cupboards. The 150 kg load capacity means the chair can accommodate a wide range of guests without risk of structural failure.

Cleaning is straightforward: the powder-coated steel frame can be wiped down with a damp cloth, while the fabric seat can be vacuumed or spot-cleaned with a mild detergent. The plastic leg protectors can be removed and cleaned separately if needed. The stackable design also makes it easier to clean under and around the chairs when they are stored.
