A freestanding beer dispensing unit designed for organised bar service, the BHS Beer Set ZP/WOODY 2270 holds kegs, gas cylinders and cooling equipment in a single worktop-height assembly. The unit maintains chilled beer lines by circulating coolant through an insulated circuit that surrounds the beer tubing. This closed loop keeps the beer at serving temperature from keg to tap, preventing foaming and ensuring consistent pours without manual temperature adjustment.
The sequence begins with loading kegs onto the lower shelf and connecting them to the gas supply. The operator then attaches the beer lines to the keg couplers and routes them through the insulated channels to the taps mounted on the worktop. Once the gas pressure is set, the unit chills the lines and the beer flows on demand when the tap is opened. The worktop provides space for glass rinsing, pouring and temporary storage of open bottles or tools.
Construction is a welded aluminium frame clad in stainless steel panels. The worktop is a single sheet of brushed stainless steel with a raised rim to contain spills. The lower shelf is open for keg storage, and the rear panel is removable for access to the cooling circuit and gas connections.
The unit measures 2200 mm in length, 700 mm in width and 740 mm in height. The 2200 mm worktop length allows multiple taps to be spaced along the bar, reducing crowding at any single point. The 700 mm width fits within standard bar depths, leaving room for staff movement behind the unit. The 740 mm height matches typical worktop levels, aligning taps at a comfortable pouring position for bar staff.
Cleaning involves flushing the beer lines with cleaning solution after each keg change, wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and rinsing the drip tray beneath the taps. The removable rear panel allows periodic inspection of the cooling circuit and gas connections for leaks or wear.
